Kyle Jenkins named the first Esports Manager and Head Coach at Western Colorado University Western Colorado University announced Kyle Jenkins as the new Esports Coach and Manager/Video Coordinator. He will lead the development of Esports and oversee athletic video production.

Western Colorado University Athletics is excited to announce Kyle Jenkins as the new Mountaineer Esports Coach and Manager/Video Coordinator. Jenkins will lead the development of esports at Western, along with overseeing athletic video production.

Jenkins graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2017 with a Masters of Healthcare Administration and a Bachelors of Biology in 2013. During this time, Jenkins volunteered and was an intern for numerous healthcare companies.

In June of 2018, Jenkins became the Chief Operating Officer for Insanity Esports in London, England. In this roll, Jenkins manages various aspects of the team, including player development, event schedules, arranging transportation, and organizational promotion. He is also responsible for player recruitment and regularly consults with team leadership in planning short-term and long-term organizational objectives. 

As a player, Jenkins is currently in the top 10 percent of League of Legends players globally and has more than four years of competitive experience across multiple titles. He also serves as a League of Legends analyst for NEZEQ Esports which competes in a number of Israeli esports leagues. Jenkins also has experience in other game titles, such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, StarCraft, Hearthstone, DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, and Fortnite.

Jenkins begins his duties with Mountaineer Athletics immediately.
